Spun polyester yarn
Polyester yarn is produced by spinning polyester staple fiber (PSF). It can be obtained from new or recycled polyester staple fibres. This particular yarn is mainly used for the production of knitted and woven fabrics as well as for the creation of sewing threads and embroidery. Polyester yarn was developed as a replacement for cotton fibres, which were widely used in various industries in the past. Cotton fibers, consisting of pure cellulose, provide a soft, fluffy, comfortable and breathable texture. However, cotton products have a relatively short life, are susceptible to price fluctuations due to their natural origin, and are considered necessities. On the other hand, polyester yarn has been available for more than fifty years. It offers increased crease resistance, reduced fading and increased durability, making it a longer lasting and more durable alternative.
What can polyester be done
Ring-spun polyester yarn has versatile properties that make it suitable for a wide range of products. Here are some examples:
Clothing: polyester ring-spun yarn is often used to manufacture a variety of garments, including t-shirts, shirts, accessories, skirts, shoes and sports clothing. Its excellent durability, resistance to grooves and retention of color make it perfect for everyday use.
Textile home: it is also used in the manufacture of textiles for the home, such as bed linen, curtains, upholstery and towels. Its robustness and resistance to fading and shrinkage make it the ideal choice for these purposes.
Industrial textiles: ring-spun polyester yarn can be used to produce industrial textiles such as cords, belts, belts and harnesses. Its high resistance to bending and opening and to chemical agents makes it suitable for heavy tasks.
